Well there are 2 reasons why I picked 1986, the first being is that is the year I graduated from high school, the second is the start of the American Silver and Gold eagle programs from the U.S. Mint.

Johnny1328

Johnny,

Have to ask, what is special about 1986? Is that a birth year? I think its cool getting all of the coins and cash in the world for a given year

Ken

I am collecting a year set of US and World coins and bank notes for the year 1986. In the coin portion I am collecting circulated coins and also mint, and proof sets. The bank notes are all dated 1986 or if there no date notes, they are at least printed in 1986. I am also working on US mint sets from 1960 to present. The last set I am working on is a US 2 dollar note set of Small size federal Reserve notes. I am trying to get 1 note from every series and district, from 1928 to the present.

Johnny
